THE BMW FACTORY TOUR OVERNIGHT Trip

LOMDS is proud to announce a very special trip to the BMW Factory in Greenville/Spartanburg, SC highlighted with their 1.5 hour Assembly Hall Tour Experience.  The tour guides us through the logistics of seeing how BMW assembles the Ultimate Driving Machines, at BMW Plant Spartanburg.  This tour includes a coach bus ride to and from the Zentrum to the Assembly Hall and the time spent inside the Plant with the BMW guide staff.  We will be walking almost 2 miles on this tour route.  The tour ends back at the Zentrum Museum where we started from where you might consider lunch at the ‘Isetta Cafe’.

Join your fellow LOMDS club members for a drive to Greenville, SC, for a tour of the BMW Factory

Rough schedule below

Monday July 28th - drive on your own to arrive at the hotel of your choosing.

Monday, July 28th - organized dinner at restaurant TBD for the whole group - you pay for your dinner

Tuesday, July 29th

  • 9:10 am Meet at Hampton Inn parking Lot

  • 9:20 am - Caravan to BMW Zentrum Visitors Center and Museum

  • 9:45 am - Check in to BMW Zentrum Visitors Center and Museum

  • 10:00 am - Tour the assembly plant

  • 11:45 am - Tour Concludes

  • Lunch nearby (Isetta Cafe) or start drive home

We have received a special invitation to visit the famous Brumos Car Collection Museum in Jacksonville, Florida.

Mostly known for decades of legendary winning Brumos Porsche race cars, the Brumos Collection’s new 35,000 square-foot complex displays some of the most historic Porsches in the world. As a bonus, our private guided tour will also include a separate exhibit area of various significant classics from the 1920s, ’30s, and early ‘50s like Duesenberg, Alfa-Romeo, Renault, a collection of Millers and 1970 Gulf-Porsche 917K, to name a few of the special cars.

Enjoy the museum’s walls decorated with large spectacular color images of some of Brumos’ greatest moments, giving the collection an air of a shrine. Learn more at thebrumoscollection.com

LOMDS will caravan down together, tour the museum, then enjoy lunch before traveling back home. Immediately following our VIP tour, we will enjoy our group lunch at a well known nearby local restaurant before heading home. (Order off menu, separate checks)

LOMDS will participate in this year’s Targa Lowcountry Rally & Fly-In on Sunday March 24, to the MidCoast Regional Airport at Wright Army Airfield in Hinesville, GA.  Whether you drive - or fly - your special ride, be part of a great day of automotive and aviation camaraderie and fun!

LOMDS will convoy on scenic back roads to MidCoast Regional Airport.  Once at MidCoast, attendees will enjoy their modern facilities, catered lunch, sponsor exhibits, and aviation activities to include:  fly-bys, aircraft demonstrations, discovery flights, airplane rides ($), and static displays, … plus a few other surprises.   So get ready for another great day at the airfield.

Members of invited car clubs are eligible to participate.  Event registration is $35 per person, which includes a fully catered lunch (menu TBA) and vehicle decal set.  All automotive participants must register in advance.
